Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Chris Cruise Intelligence LLC (“CCI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information in connection with our websites, Chris Cruise Forecasts™, Cruise Scope™, and related support services.

Effective September 9, 2026

1. Information this policy covers

The information involved depends on the product and features you use. CCI may process the following categories where applicable:

  • Information you provide, such as a name or nickname, optional contact information, and enrollment or product choices.
  • Account and access identifiers, such as a randomly assigned account, enrollment, campaign, or session identifier and a protected device-enrollment identifier used to recognize an enrolled account and keep access secure.
  • Sailing information, including the ship, sailing, dates, or itinerary connected with a forecast or passenger experience.
  • Optional location information. When a location-based feature is enabled and you grant device or browser permission, CCI may process location fixes and related details the device provides, such as time, accuracy, and, when available, speed or heading.
  • Content you choose to provide, such as Lookout or passenger reports, observations, optional report photos, Share a Moment submissions, and private Help messages, feedback, or support attachments. Cruise Scope v1 does not provide public passenger-to-passenger posting or messaging.
  • Technical, access, and security information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service, such as product activity, message read state, journey and tracking state, performance, errors, diagnostics, permission state, consent records, security events, and feature or upload outcomes.
  • Support communications, including messages and information you send when asking for help, making a privacy request, or contacting the company.

2. Optional location

CCI processes optional location only when the relevant feature is enabled and you grant location permission. Location may be used to show your current position or private journey, provide location-relevant voyage information, detect nearby experiences, diagnose tracking, or evaluate and improve the feature. You can decline permission or turn the feature off. Device and browser platforms may also provide controls for changing or withdrawing permission.

3. How information is used

CCI uses information as reasonably necessary to provide and operate the requested product; associate an experience with the correct sailing; generate and deliver forecasts; receive and review passenger reports and optional photos; provide private Help and support; respond to privacy requests; diagnose and improve features; and secure the service or prevent abuse.

CCI does not treat this policy as permission to collect unrelated or invasive information.

CCI does not currently sell personal information.

4. Service providers and legal needs

CCI may use service providers that help host, deliver, maintain, secure, or support our products. They may process information on CCI’s behalf for those purposes. We require service providers that process personal information for CCI to protect it appropriately and use it only for the services they provide to us. They must provide the same or equal protection of personal information described in this policy. We may also preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect people or the service, investigate misuse, or establish and defend legal rights.

5. Retention

CCI does not apply one fixed retention period to every category of information. Retention depends on the information and the feature. CCI keeps identifiable information only as reasonably needed to provide the service, protect it, resolve support requests, document user choices, meet legal obligations, and evaluate or improve products. Information may be kept longer when needed for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance, and is removed or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed for those purposes.

6. Your choices and requests

You may choose not to provide optional content or contact information. You can decline or withdraw location permission through the relevant product, browser, or device controls.

If you create an enrolled Cruise Scope account, you can permanently delete it in the app by opening Settings → Privacy & account → Delete Account and following the confirmation steps. This removes the account identity, active enrollment and sessions, private location and breadcrumb records, photos, reports, private Help and feedback, diagnostics linked to the account, consent records, and any historical Lido-linked records associated with that account.

CCI may retain de-identified aggregate intelligence that cannot reasonably be linked back to the deleted account and pseudonymous security audit records needed to prevent abuse; those records no longer have an account identity mapping after deletion. Information required for a legal obligation, dispute, or security purpose may be retained only as reasonably needed for that purpose.

To ask about information associated with you or request access, correction, or deletion outside that in-product path, follow the Account & Data Deletion instructions or contact [email protected]. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request while protecting other users.

7. Age and children’s privacy

Cruise Scope v1 is intended for people age 18 and older and is not directed to or targeted to children. This describes the intended audience; it does not mean a child is technically incapable of accessing a device or service. Adults are responsible for enrolled accounts and for supervising device use during family travel. If you believe a child sent personal information to CCI, contact [email protected] so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

8. Security

CCI uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information and restrict internal systems. Information sent between supported clients and CCI services is protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS. No internet service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our public products change. A revised policy will show a new effective date, and we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
